Update juni '23

At the end of last year, Fost Plus organised a first satisfaction survey among some of the intermunicipal companies we work with. This gauged their opinion of our services. The results gave us an insight into where we can still improve as an organisation. Moreover, they already gave rise to a number of concrete actions.

In the survey, we surveyed a total of 17 intermunicipal companies on four major themes: Fost Plus as an organisation, management and support, communication and finance. Within those themes, a wide variety of topics came up, including innovation, transparency, customer service, communication offerings and payments. During a follow-up discussion with their account manager, the intermunicipal companies were able to elaborate on their feedback.

Average score of 73

The average score across all topics was 73%. We are of course pleased with this positive result, but we will mainly work on the work points that emerged from the survey. For instance, the intermunicipalities clearly indicated that they want to be better informed about the many innovation projects we undertake and want to be more closely involved in them. In the autumn we will therefore organise another brainstorming session on this theme with all stakeholders.

In terms of administrative support, we are happy to respond to the request to once again provide a number of training courses for the users of our online platform MyFost. We have already sent out a mailing to sound out the interest of the various intermunicipal companies and their waste partners. When it comes to drawing up the POs, we are looking for a way of formulating more clearly the activity for which the order form was drawn up.

Focus on communication

The intermunicipal companies also formulated a number of clear communication needs. All Flemish intermunicipal companies recently signed up to the umbrella communication actions, which shows that we are on the right track in jointly putting the right emphasis on local communication. Now that our communication team is back to full strength, we also hope to be able to answer the intermunicipalities’ questions more quickly. Finally, with this new digital newsletter, we offer an additional tool to keep intermunicipal companies better informed.

All feedback is welcome!

We would like to thank all participating intermunicipal waste companies for their cooperation and open attitude. The survey will be repeated at the end of the year and extended to all intermunicipal companies and a number of partners, including collectors, sorting centres and recyclers.
