Big clean-up season

Last weekend, three major clean-up campaigns took place in Belgium. The first was the Eneco Clean Beach Cup in Koksijde, at which more than 3,000 volunteers came together to clean the beaches. This event, now in its 15th year, provided an enjoyable day of cleaning for families, friends and sporting groups. Fost Plus was a partner to the event.

The second clean-up took place all weekend throughout Wallonia, and was organised by Be WaPP to celebrate the 10th anniversary of “Le Grand Nettoyage” (The Big Clean-up) with more than 103 000 volunteers. 

Finally, from 23 March to 6 April, the spring cleaning action Mooimakers also runs. For example, youth movements and elementary schools clean up their neighborhoods, but employees of local governments also go out to clean up litter.
