Every link in the recycling chain is crucial to guarantee the end quality of the collected materials. This is why trained employees, with a thorough knowledge of the sorting process and an understanding of the recycling process, are important.
Every year, Fost Plus trains hundreds of employees of municipalities, intermunicipal companies, waste collection companies and sorting centers, in-house and online, and completely free of charge.
Training for PMD collectors
PMD collectors assess whether the PMD bags have been correctly sorted, and apply red rejection stickers where necessary. They are often also the first point of reference for residents.
Training for PMD sorting centers
Employees in the sorting centers are responsible for removing non-PMD waste items at the end of the process and further sort flows of waste.
Training for Glass collectors
Glass collectors must assess whether glass has been correctly sorted and are often also in charge of the cleanliness of glass collection sites. They are also a first point of reference for residents.
Training for Paper-cardboard collectors
Paper-cardboard collectors assess whether the paper-cardboard has been correctly sorted and disposed of. They often are also the first point of reference for residents.
