In recent years, Wim Geens headed the waste processing company Renewi in Belgium and Luxembourg. Thanks to a strong belief in the power of teamwork and an energetic leadership style, he managed to build Renewi into a leading waste-to-product company.
Wim Geens will succeed Patrick Laevers as Managing Director of Fost Plus as from 1 January 2022. At the head of Fost Plus, he will work towards the ambitious targets for the selective collection, sorting and recycling of household packaging waste in Belgium.
Further increasing the collection and recycling rates and offering a recycling solution for every household packaging that comes on the market by 2025: these are some of the main challenges at Fost Plus for which Wim Geens will dedicate his versatile competences and many years of experience from the waste processing and retail sector.
